With the use of the latest technology, and superior Kodak Royal paper you can be sure of Snappy Snaps quality every time.

We offer two services, a one hour service and a three hour service. All development and processing is done on site.

Put your images onto CD

A CD can be written from any film type. This produces an excellent quality scan good enough to print back out to photographic paper at little or no loss of quality.

This is an excellent way of obtaining reprints – just email the scans to us and we will print any quantity you require.

A CD is an excellent way of archiving your memories, as it is more durable than negatives. Your images will be stored in a format by which they can be later emailed or printed.

Why should I put my photos on CD?

Whether or not you are new to digital imaging, the Snappy Snaps Photo CD service is a fast and inexpensive way to create high quality digital photos. Putting your photos on CD gives you the ability to display, enhance, store, print and transmit images electronically. It’s also a great way to safely archive your precious memories.

CD images are stored in the .jpg (JPEG) file format. This is one of the most popular image file formats and is supported by a wide variety of software programs. The JPEG format was designed to reduce disk storage space requirements and to ensure compatibility across computer platforms.

What is the file resolution of the images stored on CD?

Image resolution is a measurement of how much information is stored in a digital photo as measured in pixels. Higher resolution photos have more pixels and while they allow for more detail, they result in larger file sizes. A digital photo that contains higher resolution allows you to make a bigger and better quality photographic print than from a low-resolution digital photo.

35mm film is scanned at 4Base resolution (1536 x 1024 pixels) and measures approximately 4.5 megabytes when uncompressed. Photos are compressed using the JPEG file format. The compressed JPEG file size is approximately 500 KB per photo and will enable you to output a good quality 8" x 10" photographic print.

Advanced Photo System (APS) film is scanned at 864 X 1536 pixels.

Can I print my photos at home?
